Arab American Family Services (AAFS) proudly celebrates 25 years of service, marking a quarter-century of empowering individuals and families through culturally responsive programs, advocacy, and support.
Founded in 2001, AAFS has grown from a small community-based organization into a trusted resource serving thousands of individuals annually. Over the past 25 years, AAFS has remained committed to strengthening families, uplifting communities, and ensuring access to critical services for Arab American and immigrant populations.
“For 25 years, AAFS has stood as a place of hope, dignity, and opportunity,” said Nareman Taha, Co-Founder. “This milestone reflects the trust our community has placed in us and the dedication of our staff, partners, and supporters who made this journey possible.”
AAFS provides a wide range of services, including mental health services, family support programs, youth services, workforce development, immigration support, etc. By centering cultural understanding and community voice, the organization has helped break barriers to care while advocating for equity and inclusion.
As AAFS looks ahead, the organization remains focused on expanding services, strengthening partnerships, and responding to the evolving needs of the communities it serves.
“While we honor our past, we are energized by the future,” added Itedal Shalabi, Co-Founder. “Our mission continues — to serve with compassion, advocate with purpose, and build a stronger, more connected community for generations to come.”
