Mental Health Counselor / Therapist
Direct Report: Clinical Director
Full-time; Exempt; No Remote Option
This position’s basic function will be to provide therapy and case management to
families and individuals as well as clinical consultation support:
• Perform a variety of therapy, assessment, and case management services.
• Complete clinical evaluation, assessments, and client-centered treatment
with respect to contractual obligations and deadlines.
• Provide consultation/support to families / individuals.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely written documentation in client files
of all services provided.
• Develop treatment plans, continuing treatment reviews, and discharge
planning
• Participate in agency meetings and clinical staffing and participate in weekly
clinical supervision.
• Community outreach to educate and inform the community on mental
health. Evenings or weekends might be required
• Demonstrate knowledge of guidelines, regulations and reporting
requirements pertaining to multiple contract obligations across the
department
• Complete in a timely fashion all other tasks as assigned by Director of
Programs.
• Must attend weekly staff meetings
• Community outreach to educate and inform the community on mental
health. Evenings or weekends might be required
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Preferences:
-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work or related field.
-License in field of experience preferred (LPC, LSW, LCPC, LCSW)
-Knowledge of adolescent/family dynamics, substance abuse and child abuse.
-Experience providing treatment in schools
-Interest and commitment to working in a community-based agency.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Bilingual in English and Arabic is necessary.
